英國一家報紙周三報導稱，紐卡斯爾大學發現的一枚銀幣上的頭像顯示，克莉奧佩特拉下巴突出，嘴唇薄，還長著一個尖鼻子。
她的戀人、羅馬將軍安東尼(Mark Antony)也是長相抱歉。在銀幣背面的安東尼頭像，他長著金魚眼，鷹鉤鼻、薄嘴唇。
這所大學考古博物館助理主任皮克斯吉爾表示：「一般人所認為的克莉奧佩特拉是一位被羅馬政客及將軍們所垂涎的艷后。」
「克莉奧佩特拉與安東尼的關係長久以來就是作家、藝術家和電影人的浪漫題材，」泰晤士報援引她的說法稱。(完)
